Friday Ladies of the Lake Luncheon

This Friday, June 23rd, is the monthly Ladies of the Lake Luncheon. The ladies meet at noon in the Blue Gill Grill. Lunch is dutch treat. Unfortunately, your editor (VP for Communications Chris Dolan) won't be able to be there - but look for friendly faces and you'll have the right table.

LSC Free Sailboat Rides a Hit - Junior Sailing Program Underway

The Lansing Sailing Club, a LLPOA member, gave free sailboat rides as part of "Be a Tourist in Your Own Town". More than 200 turned out to take advantage of this opportunity - including some LLPOA members. LSC's Junior Sailing Program for 2006 is also underway with a dozen junior sailors participating, several from LLPOA member families. The Junior sailors are on Sunfish and Lasers in front of the Lansing Sailing Club. It is amazing how quickly these kids pick up sailing skills when they are in their own boats. Since some of this group is new to sailing, they will appreciate a little extra room when you pass by.

July 4th Parade

The home page of the LLPOA web site at www.lakelansing.org contains details about the upcoming Fourth of July Boat Parade - with water fight to follow after the parade is over. Start planning for your boat decorations now.
